Discharge Instructions: PESA/TESE

01. Activity
- Avoid strenuous physical activities for at least 48 hours.
- Rest and limit movement for the first day after the procedure.
- Resume normal activities gradually, based on individual comfort levels.
02. Pain Management
- Take prescribed pain medications as directed by your Urologist.
- Apply ice packs to the scrotum intermittently for the first 24 hours to reduce swelling and discomfort.
03. Wound Care
- Keep the surgical area clean and dry.
- Do not submerge the genital area in water (e.g., baths, hot tubs) for 10 days.
- If there are any dressings or bandages, follow the instructions provided by your healthcare provider for changing them.
04. Medication
- Take any prescribed antibiotics or other medications as instructed.
- Report any adverse reactions or side effects to your healthcare provider promptly.
05. Follow-up Appointments
- Schedule and attend all follow-up appointments with your Urologist as recommended.
- Discuss any concerns or changes in your condition during these visits.
06. Signs of Complications
- Be vigilant for signs of infection, such as increased redness, swelling, or discharge from the surgical site.
- Seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe pain, fever, or any other unusual symptoms.
07. Scrotal Support
- Wear supportive underwear or a scrotal support garment to minimize discomfort and promote healing.
08. Diet and Hydration
- Stay hydrated and maintain a balanced diet to support the healing process.
