Yes. Patients at our Markham and Sudbury locations can access funded IVF through our Toronto lab. Local monitoring is available nearby, but egg retrieval and embryo transfer take place in Toronto.

Will Ottawa clinic patients be able to access funded IVF?

Currently, funded IVF is tied to our Toronto lab. Ottawa patients can receive consultations and monitoring locally but travel to Toronto for embryology procedures. Full Ottawa-based funding may become available after 2027.

How quickly can I start IVF after my consultation?

Most patients begin their IVF cycle within 4 to 6 weeks of their initial consultation, depending on clinical preparation and diagnostic testing needs.

Does Pollin Fertility Toronto have a waitlist for funded IVF?

No. Pollin Fertility has no waitlist for the Ontario Fertility Program (OFP) funded IVF. Eligible patients can typically begin their cycle within 4–6 weeks of their initial consultation. Pollin is a registered OFP clinic in Toronto, and most patients who qualify can start the process without delay.

I live closer to one of your satellite clinics (Markham, Sudbury). Can I still access Pollin Toronto’s IVF Funding?

Yes! Patients can enjoy the comfort and convenience of virtual initial consultations, diagnostic testing (Markham only) and cycle monitoring closer to home and will only require travel to the Toronto clinic for embryology procedures (egg retrieval and embryo transfer).

Will patients of the new Pollin Ottawa clinic be able to access funded IVF cycles?

Local to Ottawa patients are able to access Pollin funded IVF cycles through Pollin Toronto. Currently our funding is tied to our Pollin Toronto lab, and will remain that way until we are able to apply for funding for the Ottawa lab in 2027.

Ottawa patients who are eligible for a funded cycle will benefit from local in-clinic consultations, diagnostic testing and all treatment cycle monitoring, but will require travel to the Toronto clinic for embryology procedures (egg retrieval and embryo transfer).

Is the initial fertility consultation at Pollin covered by OHIP?

Yes. Your initial fertility consultation at Pollin is covered by OHIP with a valid Ontario Health Card. You do not need to arrange a referral yourself—we handle it for you. Call us directly or book online — our team will guide you through the next steps, and we will facilitate the referral through our partner clinic.

Do I need a referral to see a fertility specialist at Pollin?

Yes, you do need a referral to see a fertility specialist in Ontario, however Pollin can facilitate one for you through an OHIP-covered, virtual appointment with our partner GP if you do not have your own GP.

You can book an initial consultation directly through our website without a referral and a member of our care team will contact you before your appointment date to get you set up with one.
