Sonohysterogram (SHG) under Sedation

Your physician has ordered the sonohysterogram under sedation for you. This means you will be given sedation prior to the SHG procedure for comfort. 

This is not covered by OHIP and will be $300. You will need to pay for this via your Pollin App. 

Preparation:

1. Do not eat after midnight the night before.
2. Do not drink 2 hours prior.
3. Antibiotics - you will need to take your dose on the morning of your sono appt with water only.
4. Please arrive 30-45 minutes prior to the procedure and check in at the Patient Concierge desk.
5. You will need a support person to drive you home, as this will be done under sedation.
